Descriptions

Kedarnath Temple one of the four Dhams. Lord Shiva is very important in the Hindu community, due to which Lord Shiva is worshiped in different forms in different places in India. One of which is also Kedarnath, where according to the faith, every wish of a person going to Kedarnath is fulfilled, as well as the sins of a person going to Kedarnath are washed away. This temple is built on the mountainous Himalayan mountain range near the Mandakini river of Kedarnath in Uttarakhand, India. Due to the extreme weather conditions, the temple remains open from April (Akshaya Tritiya) to Kartik Purnima (generally November).

Program

Day 01: Delhi - Haridwar  Drive: 220 km / 06 Hrs

Morning on arrival at Delhi airport/railway station drive to Haridwar, reach Haridwar in the evening, check-in at hotel, later in the evening visit Har Ki Pauri to see the evening Ganga Aarti, post-visit return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02: Haridwar – Guptkashi Drive 204 Kms/7 -8 Hrs

Morning post breakfast drive to Gupatkashi passing through small Himalayan towns like Devprayag, Srinagar, Rudraprayag, and Tilwara. Reach Guptkashi in the evening, check in to the resort for dinner and overnight stay.

Gutkashi: Guptakshi is situated just 47 km from Kedarnath, the holy abode of Lord Shiva, situated at an altitude of 1319 meters from the sea shore. The city holds religious importance and has two magnificent temples such as the Ardhanarishvara Temple and Vishwanath Temple, the famous temple of Lord Shiva. People coming to Kedarnath stop during the journey. The city is surrounded by snowy hills, greenery, cultural heritage and pleasant weather of the Chaukhambha hills. Due to this, this place is a perfect holiday destination for tourists.

Day 03: Guptkashi – Kedarnath 30 Kms/5 Hrs Trek 18 Km                                                                                 

Early morning drive to Sonprayag on arrival take a local jeep to reach Gaurikung (2Km) start your trek to Kedarnath, on arrival check in to guest house, after fresh up visit Kedarnath Temple to witness evening Aarti. Dinner and overnight stay at guest house.

Kedarnath: The temple of Baba Kedarnath, which has been completely covered under snow for nearly 400 years, is worshiped as the twelfth Jyotirlinga, whose glory is incomparable. This unique temple of Shiva, standing in the middle of the snowy mountains and the Mandakini and Saraswati rivers on two sides, has suffered a terrible catastrophe and catastrophic disaster in 2013 and not many other big catastrophes have suffered from this temple of Baba Kedar. I have such glory of Baba that even the hair of this temple could not be stopped. Inside the temple, there are beautiful idols of gods and goddesses since ancient times.

Day 04: Kedarnath – Guptkashi  Trek 18 km Drive 35/2 hrs           

Early morning you can visit Kedarnath temple to see morning Aarti, post-Aarti return to the guest house for breakfast, later check out from Guesthouse and start your down trek to Gaurikund from road-head drive to Guptkashi, on arrival check in to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 05: Guptkashi – Rishikesh  Drive 185 Kms / 07 Hrs

Morning post breakfast drive to Rishikesh via Devprayag, In Devprayag, stop to see the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi river from which a holy river formed Ganga. Later continue your journey to reach Rishikesh, arrival Rishikesh in the evening, check in to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Devprayag: Devprayag is a very famous pilgrimage center. It is located at the confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers. After this confluence site, this river is also known as Ganga. From here, the combined edge of both rivers is called "Ganga".After killing Ravana and his family in Treta Yuga, after ruling in Ayodhya for a few years, Shri Rama came to do penance at the confluence of the river Alaknanda and Bhagirathi at Devprayag with Sita Ji and Lakshman Ji for a redress of murder. In Jharkhand, there is a description of Shri Ram coming to Devprayag including Sita ji and Lakshman ji.

Day 06: Rishikesh - Delhi Drive 232 Kms/ 6 Hrs

Morning post breakfast checks out from hotel and drives back to Delhi, arrive Delhi in the evening. On arrival, you will be transferred to airport/railway station.

General Conditions:

  • All prices are subject to any revision of tax and tariff structure

  • The prices are on Per Person basis, Net & Non-Commissionable.
  • Upon confirmation of the booking, we would require 50% of the total invoice and the balance amount can be paid 30 days prior to the date of arrival.
  • We reserve the right to cancel the tour in absence of deposit/balance/final payment.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Charges: Notice of cancellation must be made in writing in the name of Shikhar Travels (India) Pvt Ltd.

For cancellation made 60 prior to the start of the tour, there will be a cancellation fee of 25% of the invoice. For cancellation made within 60-30 days of the start of the tour, there will be a cancellation charge of 50% of the invoice. For cancellation made within 30 days of the start of the tour, there will be a cancellation charge of 100% of the invoice.

In certain cases, the cancellation policy (including conditions applicable on the advance deposit made/required for holding the reservation) may differ & would be applicable as per the cancellation policy of that hotel / Service provider. This will be charged over & in addition to the cancellation policy.

Unused Services & Refund

No refund will be made for any unused services or other arrangements due to any changes in schedule made by passengers while traveling. However, in certain cases, the refund will be considered as per the policy of the carrier/ hotel/ tour company / or other suppliers used for providing services.

Refund requests must be made within 2 weeks of the completion of the trip.

If there are any additional expenses due to bad weather or any other reason beyond the control of the tour operator on account of hotel stay, transportation, and meals, etc. extra bill will be raised. Neither India Travel Pvt. Ltd. nor the participating suppliers/hotels will be responsible for the additional expenses.

 

Responsibility, Liability

All the packages are sold under the business management of India Travel Pvt. Ltd. and they are in no way to be considered as the principal or operator of the subject services. The right is reserved to cancel or alter any package as conditions require. Neither India Travel Pvt. Ltd. nor the participating suppliers/hotels will be responsible for the additional expenses due to loss, delay or damage caused by accident, illness, bad weather, strikes/riots, roadblock, etc.

Governing Law

This condition and each term shall be governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of India without reference to conflict of laws principles and disputes arising in relation here to shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi.
