Safety is one of the most important things of Hight altitude trekking and climbing expedition, In this blog, we will tell you what kind of safety equipment does the Himalayan Holidays(HH) use to ensure the safety of their guests, Himalayan Holidays is the Part of Shikhar Travels that is working in the Indian Himalayas from last 41 years, Himalayan Holidays are made for the Indian Peoples who love to explore their own country Himalayas and trekking trails.

Himalayan Holidays Trek/ Expedition Leaders:

In every Himalayan trek or expedition HH send their own certified leaders, all the Trek leaders have done Basic or the advance mountaineering course from the govt recognized institutes, In the Himalayan expeditions we use Sherpas that will help you after the basecamp for the summit. Our all the Sherpa team working with us from a long time,  All the Sherpa summit the Earth's highest mountain  Mount Everest, They are also much experienced with Indin Himalayas.

First Aid Kit:

Fist aid comes on the most essential things when we talking about safety during the Treks/Expeditions, In The Himalayan Holidays we are not just providing the first aid box we also ensure that our all the trek leader and Sherpa have done the Basic and advance the course of first aid. We use Pulse Oximeter during the trek and check the oxygen level in your Blood. Our trek leader notes your daily health report on the HH health card.
Note: Do carry your personal medicine Kit, For the safety region HH will note provide any kind of medicine.

Satellite Phone:

After various deliberations between adventure travel fraternity, Indian Mountaineering Foundation & the Ministry of telecommunications, Satellite Phones are finally being allowed in India. Himalayan holidays use the satellite Phone during the expedition in the Himalayas, HH expedition leader uses the satellite phone to contact our support team during any emergencies or to get the weather conditions of the particular area so the team makes the summit plans accordingly.
Note: Satellite Phone is not allowed to use in Ladakh and Sikkim Himalayas. we use it only in Himachal Pradesh and  Uttarkhand Himalayas, Satellite phone is not allowed to carry in any airlines.

Garmin GPS Coordinates:

This device is also working as a satellite phone, Himalayan Holidays use it during the remote area expeditions, as we know the  Satellite phone is not allowed in the Ladakh and Sikkim Himalayas, so HH uses the Garmin GPS with the help of it we can send the messages or the location with the coordinates to our support team in an emergency in the Himalayas.
Note: This device is allowed to carry in the airlines.

Oxygen cylinders:

Altitude sickness, the mildest form being acute mountain sickness (AMS), is the negative health effect of high altitude, caused by rapid exposure to low amounts of oxygen at high elevation, Most cases of altitude sickness are mild, but some may be life-threatening. To â€‹ensure the guest safety Himalayan Holidays use the oxygen cylinders during the high-altitude treks. our all the trek leaders carry the small oxygen cylinders on their backpack, at the campsite we have bigger cylinders.

Stretchers:

During the hight altitude treks, or Mountain climbing their also a chance of slip, fall down, so the guest may not be able to trek more, So Himalayan holidays carry the Stretchers during every Himalayan trek. So that we easily take the casualty to the campsite.

Walkie talkie: A Must-Have Accessory For Every Trekker In Mountains, As per the experiences  â€‹of  Himalayan Holidays in previous treks every trekker has his/her own speed. so our one trek leader will lead the group in front and one in the last to ensure every one reach at the campsite safely, So If ever there is anything trek leader needs to communicate In front or the last fellow trekker, we can do that by the click of a button. During the expedition, our Sherpa also carries the walkie Talkies with some extra batteries so he can communicate directly to the team at basecamp.
