Ladakh, situated on the banks of the Indus River, is a famous tourist destination of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is also known as Last Sangrila, Little Tibet, Moon Land or Broken Moon etc. Apart from the main city 'Leh', some major tourist places like Alchi, Nubra Valley, Hemis Lamayoru, Zanskar Valley, Kargil, Ahem Pangang Tso, and Tso Kar and Tso Moriri are located near this area. Beautiful lakes and monasteries, mesmerizing landscapes and mountain peaks are attractive features here. Common languages spoken in the state include Ladakhi, Purig, Tibetan, Hindi and English. Ladakh is situated at an altitude of 3500 meters above sea level, between the two major mountain ranges of the world, Karakoram and Himalayas. Additionally, the parallel ranges of Zanskar and Ladakh surround the valley of Ladakh.

DETAILS ITINERARY:

Day 01: Arrival in Leh (3,500 m)

Upon arrival at Leh Airport, meet our representative and transfer to the hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and spend the day resting to allow your body to acclimatize to the high altitude of Ladakh.

In the evening, depending on your health and acclimatization, visit the historic Leh Palace, known for its traditional Tibetan-style architecture and panoramic views of Leh town. Later, explore the vibrant Leh Local Market, where you can browse local handicrafts, souvenirs, and traditional Ladakhi products.

Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Leh.

Day 02: Leh – Sham Valley Excursion – Leh (Approx. 140 km | 5–6 Hours)

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day sightseeing excursion to Sham Valley, one of the most scenic regions of Ladakh.

Visit the beautiful Likir Monastery, known for its Buddhist heritage and impressive monastery complex. Continue to Alchi Monastery, renowned for its ancient murals, traditional artwork, and historic Buddhist architecture.

Later, visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a revered Sikh shrine located along the Leh–Kargil highway. Continue to Magnetic Hill, a popular attraction known for its optical illusion, followed by a visit to Sangam, the spectacular confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers.

After completing the sightseeing, drive back to Leh. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Leh – Pangong Lake – Leh (Approx. 290 km | 10–11 Hours)

Early in the morning, depart for an unforgettable excursion to Pangong Lake, one of Ladakh’s most iconic natural attractions. Drive through the breathtaking Himalayan landscapes and cross Chang La Pass, situated at approximately 5,360 metres above sea level.

Upon arrival at Pangong Lake, admire its crystal-clear waters, dramatic mountain surroundings, and changing shades of blue. Spend time enjoying the magnificent scenery and capturing memorable photographs.

After exploring the lake, begin the return journey to Leh, enjoying the spectacular landscapes along the way.

Arrive in Leh by evening, subject to road and weather conditions. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04: Leh – Khardung La Pass – Leh (Approx. 80 km | 3–4 Hours)

After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Khardung La Pass, one of the most famous high-altitude mountain passes in Ladakh, situated at approximately 5,359 metres above sea level.

Enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan mountain ranges and the rugged landscapes of Ladakh. Spend a short time at the pass, subject to weather conditions, health, and local regulations, and capture memorable photographs.

Later, drive back to Leh. The remainder of the day is free for leisure, shopping, or exploring the Leh Local Market at your own pace.

Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Leh.

Day 05: Departure from Leh (Approx. 4 km | 15–20 Minutes)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Leh Airport to board your flight to your onward destination.

Depart with wonderful memories of Ladakh’s majestic mountains, ancient monasteries, pristine lakes, and unforgettable landscapes.
