Trekking has always attracted people who like adventure, but they resist back as most of the journeys are challenging and require skill and techniques. Kuari Pass Trek will be the one you are looking for. This trek is perfect for beginners or debutants.
At an altitude of 3876 m, Kurari Pass is part of Nanda Devi National Park in the Gharwal region of Uttarakhand. It has a majestic view of the divine peak Nanda Devi, closer than you think but unapproachable from here. Other than that, peaks like Kamet, Trishul, Chukhamba, Mukut, Kedarnath Peak, Neel Kantha, Ghori Parvat, Dronagiri, and many other beautiful, mighty mountains are covered in snow. So, it is the best treatment for the eyes of a nature lover to have.
The Kurari Pass trek starts from Dhak (near Joshimath) and takes us through beautiful oak forests with beautiful landscapes of the region. While walking further, do turn around, as the splendid mountain view is just there. This trek doesn’t have many steep trails, so it can also be considered in the winter.

Day 03: Tail Forest Camp to Kurari Pass (12,516) and back to Tali Forest Camp Trek 12km/7hrs
This morning will again be an early one, as the trek will take 10–11 hours. You need to gear up, as altitude will increase thick snow beds, a trail on a ridge with powerful wind, and less water resources. The first halt will be after a climb of 3.5 km at Khullara Top, where little rest is a necessity as afterwards snow beds present challenges. But all discomfort and restlessness vanish when the spectacular view of all the peaks together comes around. Kedarnath, Kedarnath Dome, Nanda Devi, Nanda Ghunti, Ghori, Hathi, Kalanka, and many more make it a magnificent and magical view. After clicking some pictures or spending some time at the top, we trek back to the Tail Forest Camp for an overnight stay.
