Ladakh, situated on the banks of the Indus River, is a famous tourist destination in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is also known as Last Shangri-la, Little Tibet, Moon Land or Broken Moon, etc. Apart from the main city 'Leh', some major tourist places like Alchi, Nubra Valley, Hemis Lamayoru, Zanskar Valley, Kargil, Ahem Pangang Tso, Tso Kar, and Tso Moriri are located near this area. Beautiful lakes and monasteries, mesmerizing landscapes, and mountain peaks are attractive features here. Common languages spoken in the state include Ladakhi, Purig, Tibetan, Hindi, and English. Ladakh is situated at an altitude of 3500 meters above sea level, between the two major mountain ranges in the world, the Karakoram and the Himalayas. Additionally, the parallel ranges of Zanskar and Ladakh surround the valley of Ladakh.

DETAILED ITINERARY:

Day 01: Arrive Leh

Altitude: 3,500M

Arrive at Leh airport, meet our representative, and transfer to the hotel. Check-in and rest are advised to acclimate to the high altitude. In the evening, visit Leh Palace and later drop by the local market in Leh to explore the city. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 02: Leh -Sham Valley - Leh (140 Kms | 5-6 hrs approx.)

After breakfast, go for a full-day excursion in Sham Valley, visit Likir and Alchi Monastery, drive to Kharu, and en route visit Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, and Sangam. Later, return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 03: Leh – Nubra Valley  Drive 120 Kms / 5 – 6 Hrs

Altitude: 3,12M

After breakfast, prepare yourself for the ultimate adventure of your life. We will drive through the Kardungla Top 5359 M (the highest motorable pass with a height of 5359 M) to have a magnificent Nubra Valley. On arrival, check in to the hotel; later, free for leisure; enjoy the beauty of sand dunes, dune, and double-humped camels. Dinner and an overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 04: Nubra Valley - Pangong Lake    Drive 130 Kms / 5 – 6 Hrs

Altitude: 4,225M

After an early breakfast, visit Diskit Monastery and have a wonderful view of Nubra Valley. Later, drive for Pangong Lake (4,250 m), crossing Durbuk and Tangste via Shyok. On arrival at Pangong Lake, check in to the camp site; later, at leisure around Pangong Lake, witness the amazing color-changing crystal-clear water in the laps of the mighty Himalayas. Dinner and an overnight stay in Pangong.

Day 05: Pangong – Leh Drive 140 Kms / 6 – 7 Hrs

Early in the morning, see the sun rising; later, drive to Leh by crossing Chang La Pass (5,358 m, the third highest motor-able road in the world); en route, visit Thiksey Monastery and Shy Palace. Upon arrival at Leh, check in to hotel for dinner and overnight stay

Day 05: Leh Airport Drop (4 Kms / 15 minutes)

Morning transfer to the airport for the return flight.
