The Manali Peak Expedition (5,669 m / 18,599 ft) is a challenging high-altitude mountaineering objective in the Pir Panjal Range of Himachal Pradesh, accessible via the popular Beas Kund region near Manali. Unlike trekking peaks, the Manali Peak Expedition demands real technical climbing skills, including glacier travel, snow and ice techniques, and high camp management.
The route of the Manali Peak Climbing Expedition follows a well-established trail through Dhundi and Bakarthach to Beas Kund — the sacred source of the Beas River — before ascending via two high camps to the summit. From the top, climbers are rewarded with commanding views of Hanuman Tibba, Friendship Peak, Shigri Glacier, and the surrounding Pir Panjal ranges.
This expedition is the natural next step for climbers who have completed introductory summits like Shitidhar, Friendship Peak, or a Basic Mountaineering Course, and are now building toward 6,000 m-class objectives.
