Mount Deo Tibba is a beautiful 6,001 m. peak located in the Pir Panjal range of mountains in the Manali region of Himachal. Mount Deo Tibba is the second-highest peak in Kullu Valley. Most of the young climbers climb Mount Deo Tibba to improve their technical skills.

This trek involves navigating an ice pass to a glacier with a rocky moraine on a steep slope of about 55 degrees that requires fixed ropes to safely cross this obstacle.

Program

Day1:  Manali 2050Mts                      

 

Arrive in Manali, meet our expedition leader, check in to the hotel or guest house, and after having breakfast, we will do the required document formalities with the local government departments. Later in the day, get together with the whole team and Himalayan holiday staff. The team leader will separate the gear, pack your sacks, and leave the evening free to explore the local market in Manali.

No Meals

Day 2: Manali – Chikka (3200M)                               
Early in the morning, after breakfast, we will start driving to the Duhangan hydroelectric project. It will take 2,3 hours by car to reach Duhangan, Rech Duhangan, and start your trek to Chikka. The campsite at Chikha is almost at treeline, giving you some fabulous views. Overnight stay in camp.

Day 03: Chikka to Seri (3600M)

The morning after breakfast, start your trek to Seri. Trek from Chikka goes on the right bank of Jagatsukh Nala The camp is about an hour's walk away at the opposite end of the meadow. You can see the flat ground down there. Overnight stay in camp.

Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner + Refreshments

Day 04: Seri to Chota Chandratal (Base Camp) (4200m)

Morning after breakfast, start your trek to Chota Chandertal, It will take 5,6 hours to reach at basecamp, and we will be greeted by a spectacular view of Mt. Deo Tibba (6001m) Overnight stay in camp.

Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner + Refreshments

Day 05: Acclimatization day at Base Camp

Full day for acclimatization in base camp, Our Expedition leader will give you brief for next plan and schedule, Full day for Equipment distribution and route planning, You can also practice Using fixed ropes, fixing carabiners, ascending and descending techniques, handling an ice axe, walking with crampons, and basic self-rescue techniques. Overnight stay in camp.

Day 06: Load Ferry to Camp 1 (4500m)

Morning after breakfast, pack your bags and get ready to load the ferry to camp 1. From now on, the expedition will be run in a semi-alpine manner, and all members of the expedition will be required to carry some common food, clothing, etc. and 

assist with the activities of the camp-cooking, tent pitching, etc. afternoon back to base camp.

Day 07: Chota Chandratal BC - Camp 1 (4500m)

Morning after breakfast, trek to Camp One for an overnight stay.

Day 08: Camp 01 to Summit Camp load ferry

Morning load ferry to summit camp, afternoon back to Camp 01

Day 09: Camp 1 – Summit Camp (5300 M)

With all their personal equipment, the whole team will move on to the Summit Camp.

We're going to have dinner early in the evening and go straight to bed for some rest before the 

summit attempt on the next day.

Day 10: Summit Mount Deo Tibba 6001 Mts

The peak push begins at 2 a.m. with an alpine start. The path to the summit is moderately angled, with mixed snow and ice. Reach the summit and see the panoramic view of the Pir Panjal ranges. Descend to Camp 01 with all your stuff. Overnight at Camp 01.

Meals: High Altitude Food

Day 11-12: Extra buffer day for the summit.

The day will be reserved for the summit. In case of bad weather on the previous day, we're going to use this day for the summit.

Day 13:  Camp 01 to Base camp

Morning trek down to base camp; overnight at base camp.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Refreshments

Day 14: Base camp to Manali

Early morning, after breakfast, pack your bags and all the stuff and trek down to Khanol. Reach at Khanol and drive to Manali. Overnight at Manali.

Day 15: Manali Departure

Morning, after breakfast, check out of the hotel.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

  1. Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary, but as this is adventure travel in a remote mountain region, we cannot guarantee it. Weather conditions, road conditions, vehicle breakdowns, landslides, river crossings, the availability of Pony/Porter, and the health of climbers can all contribute to changes. The expedition leader and our escort will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but an easy-going nature will be an asset!
  2. Please ensure your insurance covers you for the heights you are likely to attain and for helicopter rescue as well. When you have chosen and booked your insurance, please provide HIMALAYAN HOLIDAYS with your insurer's name, their 24-hour emergency telephone number, and your policy number with them. Remember, your insurance is not worth the paper it's written on if we don't know the details and you need their assistance.
  3. Our kitchen staff and the escort will accompany you to base camp.

Inclusion Details

  • Booking of Mt. Deo Tibba with the relevant authority, the IMF (Indian Mountaineering Foundation), and the booking fee.
  • Documentation, permit, or any fee for climbing expeditions.
  • Accommodation: sharing rooms in hotels as per program.
  • Accommodation in tents during the Approach March to Base Camp and High Camp.
  • All transportation is as per the itinerary from Manali to Manali.
  • All meals (including high-altitude food) are as per the above-mentioned program.
  • Services of the Himalayan Holidays Mountain Guide and Instructor during the expedition.
  • First-aid kit and oxygen cylinder.
  • Complete kitchen and camp equipment, including camp staff, until the base camp.
  • Climbing equipment, i.e., Fix rope, Climbing rope, high-altitude tent, Carabiner, Snow bar, Ice piton, etc.
  • Mules and Porters to carry expedition luggage. We will also carry 15 kg of personal luggage for each member.
  • All current taxes, including the government service tax of 5%.

Exclusion

  • Personal clothing and gear are required (personal climbing equipment).
  • Any airfare and insurance.
  • Personal expenses such as table drinks, room’s services items, laundry, telephone calls at hotels or tips, etc.
  • Any personal porter or high porter.
  • Any additional expenses caused by or liability for disturbance in the trip program due to or circumstances such as weather conditions, sickness, natural disasters, riots, etc.
  • Liability for or insurance against injury, loss of life, accidents, or loss of goods.
  • Any cargo and shipment charges (import and customs clearance).
  • Personal Belongings such as walking sticks, etc.
