Mount Nanda Devi is the second-highest peak in India and lies in the Nanda Devi National Park in the Chamoli District of Uttarakhand State. This peak has two summits, respectively, Nanda Devi main (7816 M) and Nanda Devi east (7434 M). In 1983, climbing on Mount Nanda Devi Main was closed by the Government of India out of respect for its religious significance and for the protection of its fragile ecosystem, which is still applicable. However, Mount Nanda Devi east can be climbed with special permission from authorized government bodies, which will take around 3–4 months. This peak lies in a very famous park named Nanda Devi National Park.

Program

DAY 01: ARRIVE MUNSYARI 
Arrival at Munsiyari, meeting our representative, and checking into the hotel. Overnight stay in hotel.

DAY 02: MUNSYARI – LILAM

Morning after breakfast trek to Lilam, 14 km/5 hours. Overnight stay in a tent.

Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

DAY 03: LILAM-BUGDIAR (12 KM TREK)

Morning after breakfast trek to Bugdiar. Here we can see shepherds with their flocks of sheep and goats, which are a common sight in the meadows of Bugdiar camp. Overnight stay in a tent.

Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

DAY 04: BUGDIAR – MARTOLI

Morning after breakfast trek to Martoli. We have to cover around 14 km today. Overnight stay in a tent.

Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

DAY 05: MARTOLI – MILAM

Morning after breakfast trek to Milam We have to cover around 11 km today. Overnight stay in a tent.

Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

DAY 06: MILAM – LWANI

Morning after breakfast trek to Lwani We have to cover around 13 km today, which will take 6-7 hours. Overnight stay in a tent.

Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

DAY 07: LWANI - BASE CAMP (NANDA DEVI EAST BC)

Morning after breakfast trek to base camp. (13 km and 5–6 hours) Overnight stay in a tent.

Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

DAY 08: ACCLIMATISATION DAY

Days for acclimatisation in BC. Overnight stay in base camp.

Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

DAY 09-21: ACCLIMATISATION DAY/ESTABLISHING CAMP I, II AND III

Meals: All meals, including high-altitude food

DAY 23-27 ADDITIONAL DAYS TO SUMMIT  

Meals: All meals, including high-altitude food

DAY 28 & 29 TREK BACK TO BASE CAMP

HAP will take care of the loads back to Base Camp

Meals: All meals, including high-altitude food

DAY 30: BASE CAMP – MILAM

Morning after breakfast, trek back to Milam. Overnight stay in a tent.

Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

DAY 31: MILAM – BUGDIAR

Morning after breakfast trek to Bugdiar Overnight stay in a tent.

Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

DAY 32: BUGDIAR – MUNSYARI

Morning after breakfast, trek back to Munsyari. Your expedition ends here.

Inclusion Details

• Booking of Mt. Nanda Devi East with relevant authorities, the IMF (Indian Mountaineering Foundation), and the booking fee.
• Liaison officer fees, accommodation, meals, and transportation (Delhi to Delhi).
• Accommodation on DBL/Twin Sharing Rooms in hotels, guest houses, and campsites as per program.
• All meals, including high-altitute food (above Base Camp)
• National park fee & Expedition fee of state Govt. Uttarakhand.
• First-aid kit with an oxygen cylinder.
• Accommodation in tents during Approach March and at Base Camp, i.e., one tent for two people.
• Transportation by Tempo Traveler/Innova in Delhi and non-AC Jeeps in the mountains as per program.
• Services of a mountain guide and high porter during the expedition.
• Services of an experienced and well-trained English-speaking tour escort / mountain guide. Cook and helper till base camp.
• Transportation for luggage from Delhi to Base Camp and Base Camp to Delhi.
• Complete kitchen and camp equipment, including camp staff, until base camp.
• We will provide all meals until base camp to guests, all staff, and the liaison officer.
• Services of Porters and Pony for transportation of members luggage, maximum 40 kg per person, up to Base Camp and back.

Exclusion

• Personal clothing and gear required for climbing (personal climbing equipment).
• Personal expenses such as table drinks, rooms services items, laundry, telephone calls at hotels or tips, etc.
• Personal high-altitude porter.
• Any additional expenses caused by or liability for a disturbance in the trip program due to circumstances such as weather conditions, sickness, natural disasters, riots, etc.
• Liability for or insurance against injury, loss of life, accidents, or loss of goods.
• Any Cargo and Shipment Charges (Import and Customs Clearance)
• Personal Belongings such as Sleeping Bags, walking sticks, etc.
